Alumni

Theatre at Southlake Carroll is a proving ground for aspiring actors, dancers, set designers, stage managers... We would love to share the stories of our alumni.  Please send your name, what year you graduated, your photo, what you were best known for at Carroll and your current activities to our webmaster.

Tony Daussat - 2004 Carroll Graduate
Best known (at Carroll) for:  Javert in Les Miserables and Moonface Martin in Anything Goes.  You may also remember him as Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls, Pseudelous in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and as Valere in La Bete (for which he won Best Actor at District, and All Star Cast at competitions through State).
Current Activities:  Tony just finished work as the lead ensemble character, Moon, on the New York Fringe Festival's Underwear: A Space Musical.  He is also writing a play called For I Have Sinned with two other writers that will be produced in NYC when it is finished.

Jeremy Dumont - 2004 Carroll Graduate
Best known (at Carroll) for:  Betty Buckley Awards for Anything Goes and Les Miserables

Paige Hathaway - 2007 Carroll Graduate
Best known (at Carroll) for:  Paige was best known for her Buckley Award for Set Design (Budget II) for The Pajama Game. She also worked tech for every show since her freshman year, and constantly was a presence in the Theatre Department. Paige was also Co-President for the Thespian Board during her senior year. 
Current Activities:
  Paige Hathaway is currently a sophomore in the University of Oklahoma's  School of Drama. She was Assistant Scenic Designer for "Anatomy of Gray", was the light board operator for "Chicago" and is designing the set for Contemporary Dance Oklahoma.  Spring semester will be just as busy. Between designing sets, building sets,  and crewing shows she barely has time to attend classes and football games!

Joe Nagel - 2007 Carroll Graduate
Best known (at Carroll) for:  Joe Nagel was best known for Lighting Design for all shows from Music Man through Women Of Lockerbie and being the "go-to" guy for most things. Joe was also known for being that shadow that lingered in the theatre until 2:00 AM.
Current Activities:
  Joe recently assisted Carroll as a Co-Light Designer, Programmer and Gaffer for Phantom of the Opera.  He  is Currently the Lighting Designer for The Glass Menagerie at Teatro Delle Muse in Plano.


Amanda Hopkins - 2007 Carroll Graduate
Best known (at Carroll) for:  Amanda was a member of the Thespian Board as Publicity Co-Chair her senior year. That same year she received a Buckley Award for Set Design (Budget II) for The Pajama Game. She is also the namesake of the Amanda Hopkins Award of Excellence.
Current Activities:  Amanda is a full-time student at the University of Evansville, home to one the top theatre programs in the nation. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Design and Technology, with an Associated Study in the Visual Arts.

Alicia Bullen- 2004 Carroll Graduate
Best known (at Carroll) for:  The Buckley Award-winning musicals Les Miserables and Anything Goes, as well as many other other productions including Guys and Dolls, Forum, Anna Karenina, The Yellow Boat, You Can't Take it With You, and A Cry of Players. Alicia also directed, along with several other students, a production of Schoolhouse Rock Live! with students from Carroll Middle School that toured local elementaries. She also competed at state with UIL interp.
Current Activities:  Alicia has worked for the past 3 years in professional regional theatre, and is now in Sarasota, Florida as one of ten students selected from around the country to earn her M.F.A. in Acting from the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. She is currently working on Asolo productions of The Devil's Disciple and Winter's Tale, and plans to move to New York after her graduation in 2011.
