Lou Ann DeLaune Fisher Lou Ann Fisher graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Education with voice specialization in 1986 and became an active member of the Texas Music Educator’s Association. Since then, she has been a dedicated member of the Texas Choral Director’s Association as well as an annual judge for the following competitions:
She has been a clinician for choral ensembles preparing for UIL competitions state wide and authored An Efficient and Effective Voice Studio: Grades Six Through Twelve. Her Texas public school teaching experience began in 1988 and includes all levels: elementary music, secondary level choral directing as well as private voice instruction. Her choirs achieved consistent UIL sweepstakes and her reputation as a dedicated music educator is well established state wide. Her voice studio moved to the high school level in 2000. Her studio is represented in select choral ensembles, advanced theatre arts troupes, and many broadway musical productions performed locally. The choirs in which she has provided private vocal instruction have had state and national recognition for their performance standards of excellence. Ms. Fisher also founded and directed the North Texas Children’s Chorale in the fall of 2001 - a premiere audition children’s ensemble that has been invited to sing in the State Captial, our San Antonio Missions, the Tennessee Smokey Mountains and has recently completed their 2005-2006 performance season with a concert in the United States Air Force Academy Chapel Sunday Service in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She continues to teach Texas All-State singers and UIL soloists each year and is proud to be a full time voice instructor within the Carroll Senior High School Fine Arts Staff.
