Stacie Martinsen

Stacie Martinsen   Stacie received her BFA in Theatre from SMU and also completed her Masters Degree in Education through Point Loma Nazarene University-Arcadia Campus.  As the Co-Director at Carroll Senior High School, Stacie has directed sixteen productions, favorites including Deborah Brevoort’sThe Women of Lockerbie, which advanced to the UIL One Act Play Regional Competition and finished in the top-12 schools for the State of Texas in 2007, The Pajama Game, the 2007 Casa Manana Betty Lynn Buckley Award Winner for Best Musical, Chemical Imbalance: A Jekyll and Hyde Play, Bernard Pomerance's The Elephant ManIrving Berlin's White Christmas, and the high school world premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera in 2007.  Her work on The Phantom of the Opera was awarded a Betty Lynn Buckley Award in 2008 for promoting excellence in high school musical theatre. 
 
Her favorite stage roles include Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, Ellie in Showboat, Agnes inGeorge M!, Desdemona in the Southern
Premiere of Good Night, Desdemona, Maria in Twelfth Night, and Mrs. San Bernardino in Mrs. California. Stacie has performed with the acclaimed Kitchen Dog Theatre in Dallas and The Hudson Guild Theatre in Los Angeles under the direction of Jack Stehlin.  
 
Television roles include appearances on Lifetime’s Strong Medicine with Janine Turner, Walker, Texas Ranger with Chuck Norris, The Bold and the BeautifulIn the Line of Duty: Ambush in Waco with Tim Daly, and Dangerous Curves.  Stacie’s favorite role is that of “Mommy” to seven-year old son, Aksel.
