Dear Theatre Department Students, Choir Department
Students, and Parents:
The Carroll Theatre Department is proud to announce its selection for
the 2009 Musical, Sweeney Todd, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and
book by Hugh Wheeler from an adaptation by Christopher Bond.
The auditions for the musical will take place the week of September 22 -
26, 2008 and the show will open for two weekends, January 30 - February
1, 2009 and close the weekend of February 6 - 8, 2009.
We would like to encourage everyone to consider auditioning for this
landmark production. Please see pertinent information below regarding
the audition workshops!! :)
The Carroll Theatre Department has announced the dates for the upcoming
Vocal and Dance Camp Workshops for both vocal and choreography audition
preparation. The vocal workshop, taught by private voice instructor Lou
Ann Fisher, will take place
on Monday, September 15 - Wednesday,
September 17 from 3:50 - 6:50 p.m. in the CSHS Fine Arts Wing.
Cost for the workshop is $80.00 (checks should be made payable to: Lou
Ann Fisher) and will include sheet music plus a digital CD recording of
all musical audition cuts that will be handed out during the clinic.
The dance camp dates are
Thursday, September 18 - Friday,
September 19 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and
Saturday, September 20 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. The dance
workshop, coordinated by Stacie Martinsen, will feature former Carroll
Theatre alum, 3-time Betty
Buckley Award winner, New York actor and
The Phantom of the Opera
choreographer, Jeremy Dumont. The dance camp will teach the
choreography for an exciting new number for this year's Haunted House
along with
Musical Theatre Dance training. Cost for the workshop is $125.00
(checks should be made payable to: Stacie Martinsen).
We are willing to scholarship students if necessary. Please contact us

way guarantees casting in the musical.
